Physiotherapist

Celna Botes

Celna graduated in 1986 from the University of Free State. She worked in several Bloemfontein hospitals and moved to Kimberley to join a private practice. Thereafter she opened her own practice in Graaff Reinet. In 1999, Celna and her husband moved to Mossel Bay where she joined a general private practice. In 2003 she joined the private practice that was closely involved with Bay View Hospital and opened her own practice in 2015. For the last 16 years she has been working closely with the orthopedic Doctors treating orthopedic patients with hip, knee and shoulder replacement, ligament injuries and fractures. She did a post graduate diploma in Cardio Pulmonary Rehabilitation in 2011 and has a keen interest in treating ICU patients and children or adults with lung conditions. Celna enjoy treating different conditions for outpatients on a daily basis. She I did numerous courses like Dry Needling, Basic Life Support, ICU Refresher Courses, stroke, Myofascial Activation and Shoulder courses.

Physiotherapist

Joleen Heyns

Joleen graduated from Stellenbosch University in 2014. She completed her community service in the rural part of Upington, Northern Cape and then started working in the private health care sector of Mossel Bay. After completing her MSc in Physiotherapy in 2018 (also from Stellenbosch University), she decided to open her own practice. Although it is a general practice, her passion is rehabilitation, especially neuro-rehab. She completed the basic Neurodevelopmental Adult Bobath Therapy Course in 2018.
Joleen has completed several other post-graduation courses including: Manual Lymph Draining and bandaging, Driving Post Stroke, Dry Needling, Khinisio tape strapping, TMJ and Headache Course, ICU Refresher Courses, Basic Life Support, Myofascial Activation and several ethical courses. Joleen enjoys an active lifestyle and everything the lovely Mossel Bay has to offer. She beliefs in maintaining a healthy balanced life style. Her aim is always to assist and improving quality of life.

Both Celna Botes and Joleen Heyns are registered HPCSA Independent Physiotherapy Practitioners, members of SASP and their practices registered with the BHF.
